Don't worry – the book isn’t about septic tanks and blocked drains... it's actually a village social history book. It was put together to mark the turn of the millennium as a way of recording the memories and existing local records of the village.
So why were we mentioned? Well, Butterton is a village just south of Newcastle under Lyme in Staffordshire – which just so happens to be where we empty many septic tanks.
